Oxford Mail Camera Club’s winner this week is pic of village
A BEAUTIFUL autumnal picture of Shipton-on-Cherwell was the winning snap of the Oxford Mail Camera Club competition this week.
Members of the club were tasked with taking “The Best Pictures of Oxfordshire” to celebrate World Photography Day last week.
There were shots of historic buildings in the city centre, the scenic countryside and the River Thames.
WINNER: Shipton-on-Cherwell by Gordon Craig
Gordon Craig’s photo of the picturesque village about two miles north of Kidlington caught our eye with the autumnal colours getting us ready for the season.
Each week, camera club members are given a theme and then post their photos on the club’s Facebook page. The Oxford Mail publishes a selection of photos each week.
A winner of the week is then chosen. The next theme, chosen by camera club members, is “When I Was Little…”
